Who we are

Salem Baptist Chapel is a Reformed Baptist Church based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The church which has been in existence since 1855 in the Peterborough serves the local community with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our website address is: http://www.salembaptistchapel.org.uk.

This document on our privacy policy provides you with information on how we process any personal data we may have about any persons connected to our church as well as its activities and ministry. We only collect and process data that is relevant to our church activities and programmes. We make every effort to keep an accurate up to date record of data collected. Any such data shall be processed and stored for lawful reasons only in such a manner as is fair .

All images uploaded to the website may be subject to downloads and extraction from any location.

Contact forms

All contact form information filled in by visitors to our website is collected and processed by a designated personal data protection church officer who is responsible for its security. If you would like to know what information we have collected about you from our online form which you filled out and submitted please email our Data Controller. You may be asked to provide suitable identification documentation.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

The management of all personal data privacy is carried out by a designated officer who deals with the collection, use and protection of personal information ensuring that the rights of individuals are not infringed in doing so. We shall treat any breach of our data protection and privacy policy with the seriousness it deserves by seeking to immediately act upon any such breaches in a robust and urgent fashion. After securing all data in the event of a breach the Data Controller shall investigate and provide assurances on the extent of the breach.
